"We did breakfast here and are glad we did. Dont go if you're looking for fancy. Styrofoam and plastic utensils. But if youre looking for good food (and really low prices!) with a blast from the past feel, do it! Delicious huge biscuits!"

"Really sweet people here! Food was served fast! Not crazy about plastic utensils and paper plates but that could just be because of Mayberry Days.
The diner is small and quaint. Moderate noise. Feels like small town America! Really nice feel to it."

"I had the breaded cheeseburger and she had the famous pork chop sandwich. We ate it all and reminisced with Floyd and Andy, all for under 20 bucks."

"Old fashioned Mayberry establishment in Mt Airy. There are two seating areas and it can get busy at lunchtime. Sweet tea is sweet and smooth. We had the pork chop sandwiches “all the way” (all toppings to include chili and coleslaw). I’ve seen all sorts of nasty comments about it, but people - this is not a five star elegant fine dining event center; this is an Andy Griffith hometown small diner type restaurant. That sandwich is home cooking and it’s large and it’s very filling.
Andy Griffith memorabilia and photos on the wall and famous people’s signed photographs at the entry.
This place serves breakfast and lunch only. No dinner and closes right around 2pm. Will be closed Labor Day so plan accordingly. Snappys is worth a stop for a meal. If you get there at noon on a Saturday you’ll be disappointed because there will be no tables available but get there at 10:50am on a weekday and you’re golden and will have a great experience."

"Pork chop sandwich did not disappoint. Got to meet a fine local resident at the counter. Small town warmth worth every minute. Prices exceptional."
